About Jelsan!
Born Jan-Edward L. Santiago, (hence the jelsan moniker).
Little Jelsan was a graduate of Computer Science, and spent his first two years
working with Intranet Applications with Java on the Spring Framework. It was a fun
and challenging job, but there were few oppurtunities to do things with images, so he
quit and tried other things.
Currently, Mister Jelsan is freelancing, dabbling with the concept of web design, trying to improve his stickman drawings, and enjoying circa 2006 computer rpgs and fantasy novels every once in a while.
What’s an Electronic Dogbone?
What’s an Electronic Dogbone? Well, it’s the strange logo that looks like a dogbone with a power cord attached to it, and spewing electric sparks all over. You can see a sample of it on the blog banner here. It’s just a fanciful creation that was born out of a playful comment with my cousin on the phone. Doesn’t really mean anything, but it tends to make you think on what’s it all about.
What’s Electronic Dogbone (the blog) about?
This blog focuses on notes I’ve gathered while working on different projects with different technologies. So far there have some posts about flash, css and html. Sometimes I discuss the project itself, or a part of a project which had a problem I had to solve. This blog is part of the Electronic Dogbone blog network.
What’s the Electronic Dogbone blog network?
Simply put, an attempt to organize the various topics I blog about. There are a few active blogs of varying topics, all linked to me. While it is simply possible to just categorize posts on one blog, some topics cover a broad range of subtopics (which is quite confusing to navigate), or have a specific type of audience (that would probably not be interested in a singular blog), hence the split.
The blogs in question, and what they cover, are:
Jelsan! – The jelsan blog is my personal blog site. This, as you may guess, is like most personal blogs. Topics covered vary in scope.
No Point Articulation! – An action figure review site. Originally part of the personal blog, it made more sense to separate them, given the staggering amount of action figure types, brands and makers.
Electronic Dogbone (this blog) – A electronic notebook detailing my freelance projects and forays into different technologies. Given the amount of categories it may possibly cover (and to make it easier for me to check my notes), it has also been splintered into a separate blog.
